Iain Pickard is the Co-Founder and CEO Strategia Worldwide, a Sigma7’s company. A Practical Guide to TSF Risk Management (with Case studies)
In August 2020 the UNEP, ICMM and PRI published the new Global Industry Standard on Tailings Management (GISTM), concluding a project brought about by catastrophic failures at Tailings Storage Facilities (TSF). Navigating these complex requirements requires mining companies to conduct independent TSF reviews, both technical and ESG, and also adopt monitoring systems to improve accuracy and transparency of risk data.
