Jason Tatman is originally from Saratoga, California, in the U.S. He graduated from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington, with a double major in International Business and Chinese. Having grown up in a Mandarin and English bilingual environment, Jason speaks Mandarin and English fluently. He has facilitated cross-cultural communications through business and cultural exchanges for the last few years. Currently, an Overseas Marketing and Sales Manager for HPY Technology Co., Ltd., Jason has focused on bringing sensor-based ore sorting technology to overseas markets. In the past, Jason has facilitated and presented at panels for Sister Cities International while co-founding SCI Youth, an organization dedicated to helping youth engage in international relations.

As of 2022, HPY Sorting reached a milestone of selling over 300 machines.
